Abstract Compositions

Texture is why I chose encaustic as my medium — the way the wax melts and moves under my iron, and how a finished piece feels as my hands move over it. There is something about the encaustic process that satisfies me completely, in the way only the most physical of experiences can. I make these works for that visceral feeling, and each piece holds that expression, waiting.
